Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has reiterated his administration’s commitment to resuscitating basic education in the state.
He said this during an unscheduled visit to Dadinkowa Secondary School, Gombe to assess the level of infrastructural decay in the school.
Yahaya, who expressed his displeasure with the deplorable state of the school’s infrastructure, blamed the previous administration in the state for neglecting the school.
The governor also noted that the environment was not habitable or conducive for learning. However, promising to ensure a proper assessment of the situation, he said, “This administration will not leave any stone unturned in its effort to save education from collapse.”
The Commissioner of Education, Dr Habu Dahiru, who conducted the governor round the school thanked him for the visit and his interest in revamping basic education in the state.
