Ige confirmed as AAUA VC
The Ondo State Governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, on Monday approved the appointment of Prof. Olugbenga Ige as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko.
This was contained in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Richard Olatunde.
Prior to the appointment, Ige was appointed as the acting vice-chancellor of the institution following the expiration of the term of Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun.
According to the statement, the appointment vice-chancellor takes effect from Wednesday, July 7, 2021 for a one-term of five years.
The statement read, “The governor’s approval is in line with the exercise of his power under Paragraph 3 (8) of Schedule 1 of Adekunle Ajasin University Law.
